When Do Jet Lags Occur The conditions of a jet lag are known after a long haul trip has been taken. Normally a person getting off a plan after a long trip and trying to get into the routine of the new climate is actually trying to work and sleep in the wrong time relative to the body clock. That is how the disorder starts and the person starts having symptoms that are not experienced under normal circumstances of routine work. Jet Lag occurs usually when the brain in completely unprepared. The brain is an organ of routine equipped with a clock that is set to 24 hours. When the brain is rewired and the clock extends far beyond 24 hours the set of symptoms that occur depict a Jet Lag. This is more of a scientific explanation of a jet lag. Generally jet lag occurs when our body is suffering from fatigue and stress through travelling. This is caused because of the inability of the body to quickly adjust to a different time zone. More simply if a person arrives from New York to Paris, the body is operating at a New York Time. It is struggling to cope with the new schedule of Paris. During this struggling process it goes through various changes in temperament, mood, fatigue, irritability and inability to concentrate. This is when a person is suffering from a jet lag. Flying from north to south and being confined in an airplane for a long time a traveler experiences discomfort. The difference in climate, culture and diet also plays a role in making a person suffer from jet lag. Causes of a Jet Lag There are a number of factors that can cause a jet lag to occur in a person. Much of these factors are associated with long distance and airplanes. 1. Crossing time zones This is the main reason of having a jet lag. The direction in which a distance is covered is also important her. Normally people crossing over 3different time zones suffer jet lag because of change in the body clock routine. Many people are not used to a change in the routine of the body clock and become more susceptible to jet lag. The melatonin level produced in the body is not in accordance with the normal processes of the human body and so the effects of jet lag are bound to occur.
